In one week, I ride!

Why Do I Ride for MS?

A lot of people ask why I ride for MS.  I ride for a couple of reasons.  There’s no doubt, it’s fun and it’s good for me!  But the real reason that I ride is to bring us one step closer to the day when there is s cure for MS.  I ride because I see what my friend Michelle Crosby is going through every day.  I ride with the hope that one day, Michelle and others living with MS can walk out their doctor’s offices and leave MS behind.  Every ride brings us one step closer.  Together, we’ll make  a difference one ride at a time.

With the support of so many amazing friends and my family, I exceeded my fundraising goals and will be wearing the fabulous MS 150 Jersey in June when I ride the MS 150 from Leduc to Camrose and back with my friends from Team Pronto. Together, we’ll find a cure one ride at a time.

United Cycle in Edmonton is opening their doors exclusively to RONA MS Bike Tour participants and their friends. It’s a chance to get pumped for this year’s Tour and get some tips on training, fundraising and even bike maintenance. There’ll be special deals, prizes, snacks and more!

Join My 2009 MS 150 Ride

It’s now only 3 months until the 2009 MS 150 Ride.  I am itching to get out and riding on the road! I need to get some miles on before ride day in June! I think it’ll be at least another month before the roads are clear and dry! But I am ready to ride again for MS!

I am hoping that you will find a way to support me on my MS 150 Ride (Leduc to Camrose) this year! Your support of the MS Society and my ride will make a big difference to me and to those living with MS.

I know too well that there so many other organizations all seeking your support and money. I realize it comes down to making choices about what you want to support and what you can support. I hope you will choose to support my ride! I know personally that it is a difficult decision. Nina and I know we’ll be participating in a number of cancer events wherever and whenever we can. That’s a given! And, it goes without saying that Nina’s Dragonflies will be back doing the Run for the Cure!

Every cent raised on the MS 150 Ride will make a difference. There’s no amount too big or too small when it comes to your donation! It all makes a difference and brings us one-step closer to the cure.
