My 2008 MS Bike Tours

Flying Shoes Rider

Welcome to my 2008 MS BIKE TOUR page! In preparation for my challenge, I have started spinning with the Sleepy Headed Spinners and so far it’s going well. Coach Troy is riding us hard! With the deepfreeze temperatures and snow, it will be a while before I’m out on the roads putting on the miles needed before the big ride in June. I hope I can count on your support for MS Research! It has become a very important project for me. And believe me, every cent raised by me and other rides will make a difference. I hope you will go on line to the MS Society Bike Tour site and pledge my LEDUC-CAMROSE MS Ride. I know too well that there are many organizations out there asking for your money. I also know that it is sometimes difficult to decide what you can support. I hope you will consider supporting my MS 150 Bike Tour (Leduc to Camrose) this year. You will be making a difference.

I am committed to riding in 3 MS Rides this year! It’s a big challenge but I know with support I’ll do it and cross the finish lines with strong legs and smiles! I have already reached my goal for the Grape Escape ride on Vancouver Island. My New York Fundraising will start in April and hopefully will go well! Now my effort is on the MS 150 Leduc to Camrose in June.

My goal this year is $2,000! It’s aggressive I know, but with your support I know it is within reach. Every donation helps. There’s no amount too big or too small. It all makes a difference and brings us one-step closer to finding a cure. Together we make it happen again this year!

I promise to keep going and do my part! I hope I can count on you! I’ve told you lots about my dear friend Michele Crosby of Brooklyn NY and her daily struggles with MS. Her spirits and strength continue to inspire me to ride! Everyday is a struggle for Michele and yet she is overflowing with energy and concern for others! I am blessed to have a friend like Michele. It is clear to me that my purpose in completing the ride is way bigger than simply having fun. I will be riding every kilometer with Michele on my mind and in my heart. My strength and stamina will come from Michele and your generosity. I hope you will be part of it and share the excitement. My struggle will only be for 2 days. Michele’s struggle is everyday.

If you go to my Flying Shoes pages, you can also see my training for the ride this year. I also have a web page with updates. You’ll find it at www.flyingshoes.wordpress.com.
